Peter,
I thought the same thing, but after spending some time on it, I came to
this conclusion too - please, if I am wrong, correct me!

I adapted a free DHTML utility called Coolmenus4
(http://www.dhtmlcentral.com/projects/coolmenus/?m=10)
which offers alot of nice features, but was intended to be somewhat
static. I modified dmHeader.cfm (not sure if it was the right thing to do,
but I am learning) to call my own menu generator instead of
_primaryNav.cfm. My menu program follows the same basic Farcry system
calls to get the menu data, then makes a loop over the resulting cursor to
create the Javascript function calls that create the DHTML.

In the end, it is capable of dynamically generating a multi-level drop
down menu that will work on any browser. I dont know if you want to get
into the code, but I would be happy to send my files (4) with a little
better explanation of what it takes to make it work.

contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you are interested.

Nelson.
