Hello,
this is my first post and my name is Daniel. I live in Slovakia, so please
excuse my imperfect grammar. I fell in love with Faust few weeks ago while
reading its tutorials. Theoretically it seems like a perfect tool for me,
but in practice I'm having troubles using it.
First of all, FaustLive works fine,
FaustWorks installs well from the v0.3 (obsolete but better than nothing)
windows binary available, but needs the Faust compiler, which is only
available as source code for windows. I have years of experience writing
code in C and C++ in dos and ux, but very little experience compiling as
complex projects as faust compiler.
After my many many attempts and many versions of Visual Studio Express, I
would like to kindly ask You for help.
The README in source says that you need Visual Studio Express 2010, but
while the file in the ./windows folder is called faust_vs2012.vcxproj, I
assume that I need to use Visual Studio 2012. So I installed Visual Studio
2012 for Desktop and tried to build it there, but got 170 errors and 8
warnings. Tried even installing all the updates for the Visual Studio, but
got the same results. Here is the build log

Could you please help me? I already tried compiling using many different
versions of Visual Studio, but no success. I hope that Faust is not only
for the rich people who can afford Apple computers...
any hints and advices on compiling faust on windows 7 / 64 bit are welcome.
