I had a look at doing this, and it's hard to call the IsSubClass method
purely using reflection, since we need a reference to the base type
itself.
I'm a bit wary of doing anything too complex in reflection since it can
break Medium Trust scenarios (which I'm currently working in).
A fix for this definitely should be included in a future release, and
thanks for bringing the problem to light.
