Hey,
I passed criminal at the last sitting and would definitely recommend
the "learn a little about a lot strategy". In terms of knowing what to
expect with your first sitting, it's impossible to gauge how well
you're doing when you don't know what the marking standards are. For
this reason it is vital not to get disheartened - keep on studying for
the next couple of weeks and sit the full three hours of every exam
that you have registered for. You might be surprised how many lost
causes turn out to be worth more than 50%! In terms of the exam
itself, my main advice would be to be very careful with your timing,
make sure you have time to answer five questions on every paper. If
you run short of time, do bullet points for the final answer(s), you
will almost certainly gain more marks with this than adding to a
longer answer. Good luck!
