To sum it up, the President of the Law Society tells you that you need contacts, the ACTUAL example he gave was 'if your Dad's knows any solicitors down at the yacht club, then keep on at him utilise those contact'. Everyone round me jotted down this tip enthusiastically, although i'm sure i wasn't the only one that shook my head with disbelief...
