My degree is from another jurisdiction and it's not a law degree but I
didn't have to provide any evidence that I did law as part of it.
Just sent in a certified copy of the diploma and asked for an
exemption, which was granted.

There is a deadline before the FE1s by which you have to obtain your
exemption. Check with the Law Society about this.
