Guys, Don't put any stock in this rule at all. I'm not posting this just to disagree, but its just not correct.
How can one account for Lisbon then, or, for example, references to cases decided 6 months prior to the exam etc. The exams examine the law and unless the law society say otherwise, that means the law on the day of your exam. As the Defamation Act wasn't commenced until this January it is unlikely to feature in this session (although you never can tell for sure!). Other recent developments in Irish Criminal Law include: - Criminal Justice (Amendment) Act 2009 (which got heavy on those suspected of being in organised crime).
