I've finished working through my list. There are still a couple of items
from the last round that I believe warrant some discussion:
1. https://fedora-commons.org/jira/browse/FCREPO-222 Demo SOAP Client:
Keep?
Do we want to keep the demo SOAP client around? If so, it should be updated
and placed in a more obvious location. I've seen this pointed to several
times on the mailing lists, so I'm inclined to think that it is used. I'm
guessing that the alternative example for use of the FedoraClient is the
Fedora Administrator, and since we'd like most of that code to go away,
keeping the demo SOAP client around might be a good idea.
2. https://fedora-commons.org/jira/browse/FCREPO-217 Define and index
internal datastream relations (RELS-INT)
The question is, how do we want to handle RELS-INT? It seems like if we go
down the road of the service ladder we will likely merge internal and
external relationships at some point. Do we want to do that now?
3. https://fedora-commons.org/jira/browse/FCREPO-180 AuthN servlet
filters as standalone project
It appears that some work was done a while ago toward pulling the servlet
filters into a separate project, but the code in trunk was never pulled out.
The code in trunk has since been updated, so the two are now out of sync. We
do have another tracker (https://fedora-commons.org/jira/browse/FCREPO-122)
indicating the need to refactor the AuthN servlet filters. It seems that if
we simplify the way AuthN works it may no longer be significant enough to
warrant its own project.
