Oops,

I have to correct myself. There is another issue with a hard-coded path in the
risearch servlet. We patched the servlet code a while ago, so I forgot about
it.

We are running Fedora in JBoss (4.2.2 GA), mainly for testing purposes. The
only issue we had so far with JBoss was the Log4j configuration, but there is a
known workaround for this (can be found in the mailing list archive). I am not
aware of any other issues with deploying Fedora to JBoss.

Subject: [Fedora-commons-users] Fedora vs. J2EE?

A question for the Fedora user community:

Has anyone out there managed to get Fedora running in any application
server or servlet container other than Tomcat? It's clear that there
are some problematic direct dependencies on elderly Apache Commons
libraries that would make so doing a very difficult task as well as
non-portable mechanics (mentioned a week or so ago on this list), and
I'm interested in learning whether anyone out there has had any success.

This is also a question (in another form) to the development team-- I
didn't notice any obvious Jira issues related to this large question
of J2EE portability. Is it on the radar? Is it formally in a
development plan?

Thanks!
