Hi Antony
This doesn't appear to be a Fedora issue or an OrbeonForms (the xforms
engine) issue - but appears to be how Muradora is passing the DC xml
metadata to xforms.
Muradora's not specifying the character encoding when it serves the DC
datastream. This should be UTF-8 - and by default xforms is assuming a
different character set (eg ISO-8859-1) where none is specified.
The following seems to solve the problem:
In tomcat/webapps/muradora/currentMods.jsp:
change
<% response.setContentType("application/xml"); %>${currentMods}
to
<% response.setContentType("application/xml; charset=UTF-8");
%>${currentMods}
I'd recommend you stop and start Muradora after doing this just in case.
This will force the datastream content to be served as UTF-8, and xforms
then seems to be able to deal with it.
I've not fully tested this, and doubtless there are other character encoding
issues lurking, but I'd be interested to know if this works for you (and if
it causes any other problems).
Regards
Steve

Sounds like a simple encoding issue. © read as UTF-8, then
displayed as ISO-8859-1.
