The latest news from the sysadmin is that the configure process for xerces-c and zqilla builds included in dbxml can only detect that they are running on a "x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu" system (cf "x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu"). As a result the linker searches in /usr/lib and several other locations before /usr/lib64 and issues warnings on the misses. ldd shows 64 bit libraries being linked in so it looks like binaries are being successfully built.
