How would I make the change to the connection url after running the install and would it be wiser in the long run to use MySQL Connection/J instead? You specified: jdbc:mysql://remoteserver/ But you should specify something like: jdbc:mysql://remoteserver/dbname That's weird that the installer's db connection test passed, though.
