Hi Jörg , I am using the java.com jdk 1.7.0_04 on CentOS6.2 64bit. I removed 
openjdk from the system before installing Tomcat7

what Java do you have? I have some experiences with SLES11 and found that the 
IBM Java delivered with it was insuffcient to run Fedora Commons. Deinstalling 
it and getting jdk directly from java.com solved this problem (there were more 
to come ...)
