We have just started experimenting with PROAI for our repository. It appears to work well so far.
One item that wasn't very clear in the PROAI documentation is that (in case you don't already have this in place), you should set "-Dfile.encoding=utf-8" in $CATALINA_OPTS. Otherwise, any non-ascii character will be mangled when PROAI saves the metadata in its cache file. Also, the log4j.xml file will need some attention.
