Hi Frank,
like Eddie, the largest file I have ingested was around 4Gb and the largest object contained around 10000 datastreams. My expérience shown me that the limits are not in fedora but in the computer where is launched fedora. There is only one limit I know: the number of datastream per object. If you try to create a object with more than 32000 datastreams (32768? ;-) ), you will have java exceptions. But I know that fedora has not been created for this kind of use. So I impose to my users to limit the number of datastreams to 10000. The time of treatment is already very long... but again, it will depend of the reactivity of your computer (CPU, memory and HDD).

Good luck and greetings
Pierre-Yves

Franck,

I've never pushed a 15GB file through Fedora (e.g. adding a 15GB managed
datastream). I think the largest managed datastreams I've added were ~4GB.

I'm curious to hear your results.

Hi all,

I am using Fedora 3.6.2 and the Akubra LLStorage. Is there a size limit
when I want to ingest large files (15GB). Are there any restriction I
should be aware of, or any settings I need to change?

Thanks,

Franck
