Are you willing to give some of your time to make this a reality? Remember you can remove all of KDE 4.X from Fedora and build KDE 3.5.9 from source and no one should stop you from doing that. The kernel exuse is not a good one, you can compile your own kernel and move forward. You want the latest and greatest except for KDE and not have to work at it, is not possible.
