Hi All,

I am having problems installing the Marvell sky98lin driver on a 32-BIT F8 Core
2 Duo system. I have the kernel source installed like the instructions
recommend, but whenever the installer gets to the module creation part it fails.

Here is the contents of the install.log file from the failed install:

+++ Compiler error

I've googled compiling the driver in Fedora, but did not turn up any useful
results, so that's why I am posting this here.

Anyone had any luck compiling this driver?

Thanks in advance...

-Ubence

There should already be a driver in the kernel that supports the hardware that you need that driver for. I believe the driver will be called skge.

It is very likely a kernel change in the newer kernel is not compatible with the sk98linux driver code that you have, the errors are consistent with a kernel change causing the older driver to not compile.
