The cpuspeed daemon does the opposite: Allows a system to slow down when the CPU doesn't need to run full pelt, and change speeds up and down as needed. -- (This computer runs FC7, my others run FC4, FC5 & FC6, all using Gnome in case that's important to the thread.)
