And that's not because of any restriction, real or imagined, imposed by Linux developers, but rather by OpenBSD developers own decision to reject code that they couldn't distribute on their own terms. Oddly, a choice they claim to make to enable to people to do just what they're complaining about: create derived works that they can't use.
