You might be hitting this (by now famous) bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=464866 In short, intel drivers are screwed in F10 (or upstream, I'm not sure), X freezes on a random basis, and we are all nervously waiting for a fix since September 2008... :-( And waiting... and waiting... and waiting...
