Hi,
I installed Oracle 10g in Fedora 10.
>From here:
/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin
Typing ./sqlplus
Code: Select all
[ora...@fedora10 bin]$ ./sqlplus

ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Linux Error: 2: No such file or directory
Why is this?
I set password for SYSTEM during installation.But now it is not working.
Is there any way to create account and set password for it?
Trying with this also:
ora...@fedora10 bin]$ sqlplus / as sysdba
SQL*Plus: Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production on Tue Mar 17 20:17:45 2009

Connected to an idle instance.
SQL> startup
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters

SQL>
What should I do now?
