Edit /boot/grub/menu.lst. Delete "rhgb" from each stanza. You can also
delete "quiet" if you want more verboseness.

Tips:

1. Increase timeout value if you would like to choose an alternate kernel

2. Comment out "hiddenmenu" to be able to select alternate kernel for booting.
