f-spot was installed on my system as part of the default f11 install. I never
took time to play with it and find out if I like it or not.
Why would an image management program depend on a screen saver? I imagine
f-spot may have a feature the allows gnome-screensaver to use the photos that
it manages. That would explain the dependancy. It's still a bad idea that will
alienate your users who like us prefer a different screen saver package.
If that's the case, the author most likely won't consider it a bug but rather a
feature. If that's not the case then including gnome-screensaver as a
dependancy is surely a bug. I'll be interested to see the final disposition of
that bug report.
