Wrong list.. Fedora releases use an entirely different ATA disk subsystem so the question is completely unconnected to Fedora. The old code had (and the new code does still) niggling problems with some combinations of Promise PATA and drive setups that never really got 100% resolved and some of which seem to occur in Windows too.
