wenn I do the folllowing

[r...@svtdp01 roland]# vi

Apparently /bin/vi has disappeared.

Unlikely, if it had you would have a response of: "bash: vi: command not
found"

What is the output of: "which vi"?

You could try reinstalling vim-minimal.

the answer on "which vi" :
/bin/vi

I reinstalled vim-minimal and now it works.
But how can this happen

Thanks very much
