By all accounts Fedora has improved no end since 9 but I'm going to give
12 a month or so to settle in before upgrading myself from 11. As for
the tweaks, I'm sure you can do those on 12 easily enough. I managed to
get NFS working, even though the stuff on the web was patchy and not
really complete.
