First of all I must say that I am not advocating for dwarf2 at all; I just volunteered to do the work since people have been asking for this change and I wanted to make sure that stuff that might break things goes in early in rawhide cycle. However, as I understand that there are two benefits for DWARF2: 1) Speed: SJLJ has runtime cost associated even when no exceptions are thrown; unlike DWARF2. 2) Compatibility: upstream MinGW has DWARF2 instead of SJLJ in their latest toolchain. However, I'll give a chance for people who originally proposed that change to step up and say why it'd be a good idea. -- Kalev _______________________________________________ fedora-mingw mailing list [email protected] https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/fedora-mingw
