I agree we're rewriting some parts of what yum used to do, but we're doing it for a good reason. I do think it's important to work with other distros and look at the big picture rather than look at just what's possible to do with Fedora. PackageKit isn't just a front end to yum, and it's never going to be. I really don't think what your disagreements with PackageKit have to do with this merge review. Perhaps you should send mail about that.
