No worries, no offence taken.  I probably blurted out in defence pre-emptively;
I tend to do that. Speaking of, I actually miss the days as a kid when I'd go
to the library each and every week in order to find something new to consume my
attention. It's not the same anymore. Oh and please don't take this as
another opportunity to start up the kindle/paperback war...but I'll Always read
the physical copy; no matter how times may change.

Wasn't saying you haven't read any "good" or quality
books, I'm 46 and remember the pre internet days where you had to go to
bookstores or Libraries to get books and the promotions and press release
information between them happily pointed you to other authors that provided
similiar content in the hopes you'd buy/check out more items. Given the ease of
Google and other search engines I just assumed you had did a search of like
items, Mea Culpa.
Happy Reading,

  I'm 23. Just because I read Feist doesn't mean I know every
fantasy/science fiction writer out there - or should. Yes, that even
means the greats. That's not to say I've not had a diverse reading
preference over the years however. I've read some of Joyce's more
obscure works, to the usual culprits like Plath, Golding, Hopkins and Hardy.
In terms of current 'fan favourites' - and mine included - I've read
Rowling, King, Rankin, Pullman, Goddard, and yes I've even ventured into
scary
teenage girl territory such as Meyer, and loved it. So no, I hadn't
heard of Asimov before now, but that's not to say I've not read a good few
  books!

Not to be rude, but how old are you? I'd have thought
everyone was familiar with the ABC's of SciFi/Fantasy Asimov, Bradbury, and
Clarke. Which will start a lively debate as various readers chime in for
everyone from Heinlein to Wells being added to the "Must Read" manifesto
  .

So all this talk of Asimov got me curious, as I confess I did
not know who he was. Just checked out a bit about him. Prolific?
Maybe, but what an impressive man.
