Not even in the same time zone as "technically scotch." 20 year old Bourbon . . . I'm not much for bourbons, but that's a good'un. Too "sweet" for me. But any whiskey in a storm, as they say. , but It'a all whisky or whiskey (spelling depends on where you are). If it's made in Scotland, it's "scotch." Now, Suntory makes a killer whiskey that sure tastes like it's made in Scotland, save for the small detail it's made in Japan. And all whiskey made in Canada is. . . ah, Canadian, which includes Club Royal, Canadian Club, Black Label, Seagrams 7, etc. Jack Daniels is Tennessee Sour Mash, as is George Dickey and a few others. The only 100% Rye I know is Old Overhault, but all the Canadians are rye blend,. So much whiskey, so few brain cells . . .
