Subject: Adventures in scotch drinking

I thought I would followup on my scotch experiments with a report (I
have just returned from the weekly Irish Saison at Dempsey's in NYC -
where I had 5 scotches, so bear with me).

Lagavulen 16 - Excellent scotch, and definitely the top of my list.

Glenlivet - very drinkable

Laphroig - just not my taste

Glenfiddich - here I found my everyday scotch - it has many of the
positive notes I found in Lagavulen without the heavy peat. However,
that also means it does not have as much body as the lagavulen

I have tried them all neat, water back, splash of water and on the
rocks. For me, Glenfiddich with a splash of water is just right.

Thanks for all the input

Larry
