Which begs the question, have you written something that you
subsequently recognised may have been influenced by a past experience,
say a book or movie, and therefore changed it? Or when you recognise it
thought, hey what a coincidence?
One of my degrees is in History. I chose that (among the others)
because I constantly see connections between everything and everything
else.
Sometimes it really gets obnoxious (talking to someone about a
musician, and they begin to play on the radio, etc.), but ... it's
pretty much a constant.

It can be unnerving at times when coincidence happens.
Some years back I was on the phone to a book binder, as I wanted some
cases made for my Brown Bombers, we were talking about embossing them in
gold with David Gatti's Dragon from the original Doubleday Magician, for
which I had David's permission to use. And while I was talking the TV
program I was watching changed subjects to Book Binding, and a binder in
Canterbury, showing pictures of his workshop, and the person I was
talking to on the phone!
Not sure if that tops me phoning a bookstore to see if they had
Magician, whilst rip was at the counter waiting to be served, but let
the stores person answer the phone first!
