Hi all,
Unsure if this has been discussed in the recent past (or in the past 8
years I've been off the list) so bear with me - and I'm not blowing
Ray's trumpet here for any other reasons....
But, I have a fairly wide spectrum of interests, I have read (and still
read) many authors, genres, fiction and non-fiction...and I don't know
why wor beloved Ray is not the most grossly selling
fantasy author ever. I've read a bit of King, Grisham, Clancy (not
anymore though), and even tried Rowling, but in my sincere opinion, they
just do not come close to the scope, imagination
and actual skill in bringing a reader into a book/series as you have
done, Mr Feist....Even after all these years, I still have to put Ray's
book down when he starts to talk about those hot slabs of buttered
bread...argh :P No other author has ever made me do that :)
Regards,
TJ

You asked and I told you. Look, I've enjoyed working with other
authors and learned a great deal doing it, but now I'm only going to
do it with someone who's going to make me more money, not less. My
collaborations don't sell as well as my solo stuff, and that annoy's
me, because I'm especially proud of the Empire Series and Honored
Enemy. The other two are less successful IMHO but still (I think) fun
reads.
BTW, I'll also willing work with Stephen King, John Grisham, James
Paterson, or anyone else who sells 100k hardcovers on release.
