Carl, when we bought our house we turned the spare bedroom into a
library. It's only got 7 bookcases in there and a loveseat for reading,
but it's not a very big room. We've not figured out how to get the other
two full bookshelves in there yet. Ray takes up one of the shelves by
himself (double stacked, but then again most of my books are doubled up).

My apartment is a touch over 500 square feet. Tiny. But the bedroom is
floor to ceiling wall to wall bookshelves, and one of the living room
walls is the same.
But I like the ambiance.
And I really can't complain - when my best friend moved out of town,
four of us from the bookstore (Mysterious Galaxy) went over and spent a
week boxing up books, which got it down to about 10,000 books, which
freaked out potential buyers a bit less.
From what was said, it took the better part of a moving truck to move
the 120,000 books to Arizona.
And I LIKE that!! :D

While I understand that point, I like having a room (or two) full of
books.
