spoiler space takes very very little effort. Mostly though, it is Dan's list 
and Ray calls the shots too. Unless the rules of the list change or one of them 
says, screw it, don't worry about it anymore, then take the moment to add the 
space. If you have time to send a mail to the list you have time to add an 
extra word and hit Return a few times in the email. If it is that annoying for 
people, then they can email Dan and ask him if he will change the rules on the 
list for spoilers.
