@John, Watch the Spartacus series. Lots of adult themes with that show.
Regarding the Legend of the Seeker show, Sam Raimi and Terry Goodkind came to an agreement (more from Terry, I believe) to create the TV series with very basic affiliations to the books. Terry felt that he has created the books to the degree that they have, and did not want the show to ruin the integrity of the books, the same way Harry Potter is different from the novels to the movies. I sincerely hope that something does come through from Ray's works. More like the GoT series, and true to the stories we have read.
