But how many of them have you actually read.......lol

I'm currently sitting on about 400 books. All fantasy or sci-fi based
and of those I have about 100 still to read. Latest to be added to the
collection is a fantastic set of books by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Shadows
of the Apt series. Fantastic read and it's a really fresh and new
outlook to fantasy writing. But Ray is still my favourite author. And
Thomas is still the most Kick Ass, Sword swinging, dragon riding hero of
all time.

Someone needs to put together a set of fantasy book hero's top trumps.

No, for that you want the family count circa 1987... about 10,000.
About half of those were donate to the local library when we moved in
1990, the rest have since been donated, or split among three households
as my siblings and I grew up and moved away. My sister probably has the
majority of the family books right now.

Books are something of a family passion. Both my grandmothers were
librarians, my mother worked part time though college as one too. My
wife spent 8 years as a bookseller, and Dad's been elected to at least 3
library boards in 3 different cities.

I intend to show that email to my better half as an example of "see, it
could be way more!"

Somewhere around 1,500 or so I think at the moment. I haven't counted
in a while, and that doesn't
include the books on my wife's nook.

> also how many books do you guys have in your library at home?
