Not a massive whiskey fan however me and my wife make sloe gin every year. 
About 3 years ago we got a recipient for bramble scotch whiskey (probably 
blackberries nit brambles outside the UK. Lovely and rich and smooth. Perfect 
for a winter hip flask. Happy to donate a bottle to Ray on his UK book signing 
next year if you want a sample
