Yes Anestis, you are right. I approached Raymond privately so as to give him
the option of saying no if he wished. I was glad he said yes, but I did want
him to feel he had the chance to do this privately. As you said, I should have
made this more apparent in my first email, sorry for any offence caused.

FEISTFANS:

Hi. Sorry if I've offended any fellow feistfans on this list. My permission to
mention my books to everyone on this list was given privately on Facebook by
Ray himself. I asked permission to add an acknowledgement to him within my
books and I also asked for permission to mention them on this list as I have
been a feistfan on the list for quite a few years, and a fan of Raymond Feist
since the 80's. So I asked if it was ok to mention the books on his site
(people are always asking for suggestions on what to read while we wait for
Raymond's next book). I would not have done this without Raymond's permission
and encouragement.

I would love to think Raymond Feist would like to read my books but having just
started in this industry suddenly I suspect I'm just beginning to understand
how busy he is. It was nice of him to allow me to mention my books, I think he
is a very kind person, especially to someone who is just getting started in
this difficult industry.

TO RAYMOND:

Sorry if this has caused controversy on the feistfans list. I probably should
have talked to you via this list rather than on facebook, however I appreciate
all your encouragement and kindness.

Perhaps that should have been stated up front completely and clearly. I saw
the original comment but it wasn't clear how and where Ray had given permission.

I have no issues then if that's the case.

Anestis.

Has Ray actually read your books Danielle? I'm curious because I've never seen
anyone talk about their book on the list before.

Yes, I thought this list was about Ray and his books.

And about Ray's interests.... Since Ray gave the go ahead about her self
advertizement here I don't see any problem with this, and, as far as I know,
nobody discussed the book here. Maybe Ray is at one point in his career where
he he would be interested to help young authors to succeed.
