Doh, moment.  I got so locked up in the shopping retail thing, I forgot to say, 
spend your time if you can visiting a couple of distilleries.  They are fun and 
the tasting is great.  My first choice is getting up to Speyside.  About 50% of 
all distilleries in Scotland are in that district, and some of the very best, 
like Glenfiddich, Macallen, Balvine, The Glenlivet, Cardhu, Knockdhu, etc.
