If you have a vet that doesn't want to give you med injections to administer at home, appeal to them, argue with them and if they still don't want to trust you to do it, find another vet. It makes a world of difference in reducing stress. I hate having to give shots and syringe meds, but at least they don't have to spend time at the vets, or get dragged back and forth.
