Just thought I'd pass this along... I've already mentioned about using Peroxicam for inflammation from Gingivitis symptoms, but I've found something else that seems to be helping. My vet got me "CET oral rinse", (sorry I didn't find out what the CET stands for). It's for use with regular Gingivitis. It's a liquid that is supposed to be syringed into their mouths to help fight bacteria. Of course, I'm not using it as directed. What I've begun doing is mixing 1cc with a little bit of bottled water, dipping in a washcloth and washing the cakey mess on their lips, then dip again (using a clean spot on the cloth) and gently rub their gums and teeth as best I can. It has a light peppermint taste, and Jazz and Grace don't seem to mind it. I'm only using it when I notice excess salivation and it seems to help keep symptoms under better control.
