I am very sorry. I lost my Snowball to blood clots. He got one that made him unable to move his back legs and was very very painful. At the emergency place, they gave him meds and put him on oxygen and he was able to rest comfortably. They wanted to PTS but there was a slim chance of recovery with treatment, so I insisted they treat him. They called in the middle of the night, just a few hours later (we slept at a hotel nearby the hospital) to say he had gotten another blood clot and it was to the brain and he died from it.  Apparently it is very hard to recover from these.  My mother's cat Arthur had it happen a number of times, with varying levels of compromising his ability to walk, and they kept recurring and the last time one killed him.  So I am really sorry, and you are not alone in going through this.
