An all meat diet is ideal, actually. You would need to be careful to balance the nutrients if making it home made, there are cat vitamin supplements made just for this. Cats don't require any form of grains at all. I feed Innova EVO dry cat food. It's one of the few all meat commercially prepared dry cat foods out there. I don't have time, or math skills to make and cook home made cat food, and my cats refuse to eat raw. They do splendidly on the Innova EVO. They do get the occasional bit of catnip or cat grass, that's as close to grains as they get.

what is wrong with grains?  An all meat diet is NOT good either.
