Good morning, Hideyo,

She's acting a bit more normal than last night.  She is still throwing up though.  Various colors, some small hairballs in there.  Last night the vomit was brownish green.  There were two puddles I found this morning -- one mostly clear, the other dark pink.  Then another about an hour ago another dark pink puddle.  And just about 15 minutes ago another dark pink puddle with chunks.

She hasn't eaten so no stool.  No fever when she was at the vet last night.  I expect to hear from the vet sometime today, so I'll take it from there.  Right now, she's only getting water if she wants it, a tablespoon at a time, but no food yet.

How is she doing?  Is she still throwing up?  How is her stools?  Does she have fever?

Hi Michele,

Yes.  That's what we have been instructed to do.  Reintroduce water in 12 hours, but only a little at a time and if she can hold it down, then a little more water and so on.

I ti s generally best to take food and water away (food for 24 hours and water for 12, I think) when they are vomiting uncontrollably like that, to let their system settle. Pink could mean blood, I guess, like an ulcer or something. I think I would take food and water away and if she is still vomiting in a few hours take her to an emergency vet.  Most veterinary hospitals should have some sort of fund to help out, or at least be willing to do a payment plan if you explain the situation.
