Good for you!  I do believe in the spiritual connection that you have with your kitty - the day of the surgery for Suzi, I put her in a carrier, and somehow, she managed to open the door of a carrier and got out --- and I should have know that it was a sign for her to let me know that she is not supposed to go that day.. and instead, I forced her back in the carrier and took her to the vet,, and she died… I so regret that I did not trust a sign that Suzi was giving to me..

I would, too.  And that is advice that I am going to follow.  Partly because I've had her since she was four months old and she's come to work with me almost since the beginning and I've only had that feeling lately.

Susan,
Listen to your intuition. Going into heat can be stressful too, anyone
that has had a female in heat in the house can tell you that, but it's
not as stressful as surgery. As long as you are very careful that she
has no avenue of escape, why not wait until that "feeling" goes away?
For you and Hideyo both, if you have any reason, (feelings count!), to
not spay and then something happens when you do, you'd torture
yourselves afterward. At least I know I would.
