Julie, no I never saw that vet. I saw Dr. Philibert, and the female vet on occasion (I liked her a lot but can not remember her name for the life of me).
I am sorry the news was not so great.  Boarding for that long is intense.  What are the chances they give for the surgery and radiation prolonging Wink's life a lot? How old is Wink?

Something you may want to do is look online for experimental treatments/studies. I think that there are more for dogs than cats, but our dog Fern got in one through the Animal Cancer Institute (they have a web page listing open studies) and that, combined with lots of herbs and acupuncture, gave Fern 18 months when the oncologists said she would have 5-9 months with surgery, radiation, and chemo (we declined all three because it would have been really hard on her for not much more time).  She did better without the recommended procedures than with them, and felt good til near the end.  And the experimental drug (Thrombospondin, and antiangiogenic drug) was a sub-q shot with no side effects that we gave her ourselves.
Lots of love,
Michelle
