No cat diseases are transmittable to dogs, and if he HAS rabies, he's going to rapidly become sick and die within the next day or two, so it's likely he doesn't have that! However, I should mention that rabies vaccines are REQUIRED in most states, and it's illegal not to have them done. If you don't live in the city, you may be able to get around that though. I only vaccinate for rabies now (not any other vaccines), and only that once every 3 years. Good diet brings immunity, not vaccines, IMO.
