Yeah, it's a laugh riot around here. The habitat is large and it has 2' high peg board all around the border, (except for the chain link door). There's also one of those big plastic kid playhouses, not to mention that he has the crawl space under the house to get out of the cold. He just doesn't want any of that, he wants to snuggle up on the bed with me. I'd be fine with that, if it weren't for my other cats. Instigator, my right paw cat, is threatening to pack his catnip and blow this pop stand. He's so indulgent, but he's just about had it with me. I trust this guys judgement too. I had been surprised that he was still treating Kimba, (my last unsocial Tom that begged to be taken in), with hostility. Whenever I was observing Kimba, he'd be very polite to both Instigator and Ursula, (my two in charge cats). I couldn't figure out why Instigator was being so stubborn about forgiving Kimba for past digressions and moving on in their relationship. Well, last night I got a load of why! Kimba was lying under the coffee table and Instigator walked by, not paying much attention to Kimba at all. All of a sudden Kimba sprang on him swatting, with claws extended, (fur flying to prove it!). I was shocked! No wonder Inst still doesn't like that schizo Kimba. I felt so bad for questioning Instigator's assessment of Kimba. I really have to pay better attention to his judgement! So far, he's always been right. At this point, I'm still thinking we may have to find a more suitable home for Starman. :(

Hey Nina,

Very cool on the trust thing. I hope things change
for the better once he gets snipped. Your stories
about Star are funny, even though you might not find
them to be so right now, especially being sleep
deprived! I hope he gets better (the lungs and eyes).
Is it possible to temporarily hammer a couple of
pieces of wood on either side of the shelf to cut the
wind some? Good idea on the heating pad. I love
mine. lol.
Get yourself some sleep girl!
:)
