Do you know how he was tested positive - in house test kit or was it
sent out to one of the lab? - the reason I am asking - 3 out of 10 cats
tested originally positive by antech lab ended up being really negative
- so before assuming that he is really positive, I wanted to suggest to
run Western blot -

You might want to join FIVcats2 yahoo group or I could forward your
email to them to see if someone can ---is this a non kill shelter? I
live in NM - if someone can transport, and if he can't find a good home,
I would offer to give him a home - I have a little sanctuary of my own,
and have many cats with me, so I am not going to be the best home for
him, but if this is not a non kill shelter- I would hate to see him
killed due to FIV status - is there anyway you can take him? Lots of
FIV cats owners mix their positives and negatives together, and none of
their negatives become positive unless FIV cat is very aggressive biter
- and most of FIV cats do live a normal life span --- so if you could
consider being his mom - that will be great, too!.

Hi

There is a fiv cat that is about a year old very friendly that
was dropped off at the shelter in Elizabeth NJ.

Can anyone help or know of a group who would take him. He is a
